A few words about myself

Hi, I'm Bukky. I am a highly-trained psychotherapist with a Level 7 Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapy and Counselling from Regent’s University.

I offer individual psychotherapy and couples counselling to people from diverse backgrounds and their families, creating transformative spaces where they feel seen and safe, and can become their greatest versions.

My therapeutic approach is integrative, combining techniques from Existential Therapy, Person-Centred Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, and Transactional Analysis to tailor our sessions to your unique needs. The approach is rooted in compassion first and foremost. I will gently support you to live a more enriching life filled with daily practices of embodiment, noticing, compassion, art, rest, play, radical acceptance, letting go, laughter, honesty, and more. I walk alongside you, as you develop the lost art of imperfection and unknowing what society may have taught you is 'normal' for you or expected from you. I support nurturing your more curious, soft, and vulnerable parts.

I am not a passive therapist. I specialise in self-actualised change, embodied decision-making, and demystifying intuition. By reminding you that your life will not continue forever and offering gentle accountability, I can help you connect with the deeper intelligence that permeates inside of you, so you can get clear on who you want to be and how you’d like to feel and begin navigating life with intention.

Quick facts about me:

  • Transitioned into psychotherapy following a decade-long career as a corporate lawyer.
  • Integrates evidence-based techniques with insights from spirituality and philosophy.
  • Specialises in common mental health issues and unique areas like bereavement by suicide.
  • Has experience in NHS counselling services and private practice.
  • Worked across diverse environments from the Priory Hospital to charitable women and family services.
  • Currently pursuing a master's degree in Psychotherapy and Counseling at Regent's University London.
  • Actively seeks knowledge beyond what is institutionalised and deemed legitimate by academia, to ensure I offer you a complete experience on a physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual level.
  • Registered with the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) (registration number 403730).
  • Adheres to the BACP's highest standards and code of ethics.
  • Fully insured and undergoes regular supervision for continued professional development.
  • Lives in London with husband and our two children
  • A triathlete who loves to write poetry
  • A bad cook, but a great eater
  • Plays guitar and sings too loudly, and
  • Reads - a lot. I love non-fiction.

I invite you to bring all of who you are to therapy to be seen and heard, without judgment:

Child & Adolescent Therapist, Qualified Integrative Children's Counsellor/Therapist, Developmental Relational Trauma, Abuse, ADHD, Autism, Anxiety, Eating Disorders, Self Harm, Identity Issues, Loss. Click image for full profile

A few words about myself

I am a qualified integrative children's counsellor/therapist and a registered member of the BACP, offering in person therapeutic sessions to children and adolescents. I have specialised as a children/adolescent counsellor/therapist as I am passionate about early intervention, understanding that if any social/emotional challenge big or small is addressed early it will prevent and help manage mental health conditions and difficulties throughout the lifespan.

We all wish for our children to thrive and live life to their full potential. Difficulties however may arise in life which may lead to children/adolescents struggling with day-to-day, experiencing overwhelm and worries they are unable to manage. This may be due to a traumatic event, changes within the family unit, loss of a loved one, challenges due to being neurodivergent and/or the impact of the demands of school and the environment. At times it may be a combination of challenges which even the child or caregiver may not understand the root of.

Parenting can be tough and at times seeking support from a counsellor may provide the child with a safe, confidential, non-judgmental space to enable her/him to process worries, make sense of them and provide tools to develop healthy coping strategies, build resilience and find ways to get through these challenges.

My philosophy and style is underpinned by child development, systemic thinking and psychodynamic theory, using the core values of a person-centred approach, informed by attachment theory and neuroscience.

I recognise that each child may enter therapy with their unique needs and experiences, hence the value in an integrative approach to draw on a number of theoretical schools of thought to inform my work. My work is child-centred and I believe that at the core of any positive change lies the therapeutic relationship and the belief that the child has the capacity within himself/herself/themselves to create positive change, if provided with the appropriate conditions of trust, safety, unconditional positive regard and warmth in a non-judgmental environment.

I believe in working creatively, at the pace of the child, respecting their processes and choice of expression. In the one-to-one in person sessions, I will have creative materials available such as sand-tray, clay, art materials, paints, games and toys...etc. When appropriate I may use Cognitive Behavioural Therapies, Solution focused approaches as well as psycho-education.

Apart from my private practice, I work in schools providing one-to-one counselling to children and adolescents as well as supporting school staff and parents.  Organisations I have worked in include the mental health charity Place2Be.

I have particular experience in the following areas:

  • Abuse
  • Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder
  • Anxiety
  • Autism Spectrum
  • Bereavement
  • Depression
  • Developmental/Relational Trauma
  • Eating Disorders
  • Emotional Regulation
  • Health Related Issues
  • Identity Issues
  • Loss
  • Low-mood
  • Low self-esteem
  • Relationships and peer related issues
  • Self esteem
  • Self-harm
  • Sexual identity
  • Sexuality
  • Social Anxiety

How it works:

If you are a parent/carer looking for a therapist for your child, I recommend we have an initial session on the phone or via Zoom where we can meet and where you can explain your child’s needs and why you are seeking therapy now for your child. This session will be around 30 Minutes and will be free of charge. It is also an opportunity to ask me any questions and share any worries you may have. If you are happy with the process and believe that I may be a good fit for your child, we can arrange a time and day to meet with your child.

Sessions are 50 Minutes and run every week on the same agreed day and time.

I will have sand, clay, toys, games and arts materials available for your child/teen, understanding the value of play and creativity to help process feelings and to make sense of the child’s internal landscape.

After the 6th session, I would recommend a review with yourself and your child/adolescent to review how things are going, what's working and what may not be working. This will be a good opportunity to review how many more sessions we may need/want or if another review may be best at a later stage.

If you have any questions or would like to book a session, please do not hesitate to contact me via my mobile or e-mail; or take a look at my website where you can fill in an enquiry form. I endeavour to get back to you within 24hours.

A few words about myself

I'm one of those annoying people who knew what I wanted to do at a young age, pursued it and I still love it. Pretty lucky since it took 8 years to qualify! I vividly remember in the late 80's discovering Psychology - it wasn't  so well known as a subject at the time and I remember being amazed that I could do a degree in what I loved most - people and the science of the mind.  As an expat child myself, my love of travel along with itchy feet in 2009 resulted in my family pursuing an overseas adventure. Returning to live as an adult and work overseas cemented my insight and experience working across cultures and gave me a rich understanding of families who are displaced from their countries of origin.

The majority of my career has involved working with children, teenagers and adults, at a number of NHS services including Great Ormond Street Hospital, and in more recent years in independent practice.

I offer individual, bespoke, psychology sessions with clients across the life span in all areas of child, teenage and adult mental health, as well as sessions to parents, families, groups and couples.  I have a particular expertise in working with the eating disorders and am proud to be co-author of a specialist CBT treatment manual written with colleagues during my time working at the South West London and St Georges Trust National Eating Disorder service in London.

Please be assured that therapy, whilst always scientifically rooted, is entirely about you, devised collaboratively with you, for you.  Life can be hard, but I can help you navigate those challenges, equipping you with a psychological toolbox so that, ultimately, I am no longer necessary.

As well as working directly with clients in all areas of adult and adolescent mental health, I have lots of experience in teaching, supervising and the training of others. This includes running workshops in schools and other organisations and presenting at local, national and International conferences. In all areas of my professional life I draw from a substantial history of clinical experience together with knowledge and training in a number of  theoretical models to collaborate with those I work with on interventions and treatment. I have never lost sight of what a privilege it is to share a part in peoples lives.

A few words about myself

Dr. Nisha Hickin, BSc, DClinPsy.

Welcome! My name is Nisha and I provide specialist psychological therapy for children and young people aged 5 - 21, and their parents or carers. Therapy is about understanding yourself, making sense of your difficulties and then being supported to overcome them. Psychological therapy combines gaining insight, with building helpful coping strategies to lead to long term change.

It is a big decision to reach out for mental health help, so I want you to know that you and your child will be well supported. The therapy I offer is person-centered, designed with young people and parents in mind, and based around the goals that clients create with me. I use effective psychological approaches that will be bespoke and individualised to you, in appointments that are engaging and creative. You deserve a compassionate and non-judgemental psychologist who is warm, caring and authentic and helps you to feel comfortable and at ease talking in the safe space that I create for you. I genuinely care for each person I work with and believe that, through collaborative work towards agreed therapy goals, significant positive long term changes can be achieved.

I am a qualified Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist and have chosen to specialise in supporting parents, children and adolescents with mental health difficulties. I am passionate about early intervention and really enjoy working with young people. My many years of experience has been gained working with young people in both education and mental health settings, including a busy Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service in the NHS. Through my training and work there I have acquired a great breadth of knowledge about child mental health, parenting and a diverse range of therapies. This allows me to create tailor made therapy packages specifically designed for the person in front of me, to maximise the progress made.

In my private practice I work with parents, children and adolescents experiencing a variety of issues, including:

  • Anxiety, including Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Panic Attacks, Health Anxiety and Phobias
  • Depression and Low Mood
  • Relationship and Friendship Issues
  • Parenting
  • Family Conflict
  • Challenging Behaviour
  • Stress and Trauma including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
  • Self-Esteem and Confidence
  • Identity Struggles
  • Anger and Emotion Management
  • Grief
  • Procrastination
  • Loneliness and Isolation
  • Perfectionism
  • Sleep Difficulties
  • School Attendance or Engagement Issues
  • Autism Spectrum Conditions and Learning Difficulties

Therapies used include:

Psychodynamic Therapy - Psychodynamic approaches help you to understand yourself on a deeper level. You can make sense of relational patterns and figure out why you may act and feel certain ways. Through this therapy long lasting change can occur.

Systemic Therapy - Systemic Therapy considers you in the context that you are in. It places importance on the relationships around you and sees them as the pathway to alleviating distress. It can be helpful in family or school work.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) - CBT is well researched and shown to be highly effective at improving many mental health difficulties such as low mood to anxiety.  CBT teaches you to develop coping strategies to change how you think, feel and behave.

Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) - EMDR is a well researched specialist trauma therapy. It works by helping to process painful memories, reducing associated distress.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) - ACT is about figuring out what is important to you and how to take steps towards living in line with your values. You build acceptance and mindfulness skills that can help with many mental health difficulties.

Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) - CFT is about recognising your inner critic. Would you talk to a friend the way you are talking to yourself? Building self-compassion can be helpful for overcoming low self esteem, perfectionism, anxiety or depression.

How can I help you?

Please do contact me to discuss the issues you are struggling with.  I offer a free 15 minute consultation, to talk about why you want to come to therapy and for you to ask any questions you may have, so that we can both feel that I am the right therapist for you.  If you don't see the area you wish to discuss on the list, are not sure, or have questions, please do contact me - I am very happy to discuss your concerns.

A few words about myself

I trained as a Psychotherapist later in life, having been inspired by my own experience of how therapy can help us to cope with the challenges we face. My qualification is in Existential Phenomenological Therapy, which is grounded in philosophy and explores the inner conflict and anxiety experienced within an individual's own perception and experience of a situation or event.  I am registered with the BACP and work in accordance with their ethical framework.

In my practice I work collaboratively with my clients to understand their lived experience and explore what matters to them. I work relationally to develop a nuanced sense of the several meanings that exist for all of us in the way we live. I offer a space to be curious and compassionate and to consider new possibilities. I am conscious that some issues feel intractable and am willing to accompany my clients through their difficulties. I have a pragmatic approach and a deep respect for clients’ ways of seeing the world, which has allowed me to work with a wide variety of people in low-cost centres as well as in private practice.

I have an informal but direct way of being and hope that you will find me warm and supportive. I suggest an initial free online consultation to talk about why you want to come to therapy and for you to ask any questions you may have, so that we can both feel that I am the right therapist for you. If we agree to work together we will have weekly 50-minute face to face sessions, which can be long term, short term or time limited, as required.

A few words about myself

Chartered Psychologist and Certified Coach (Certified Coach Accredited to the International Coaching Federation)

Welcome!  My name is Alex de Acutis and I offer tailored coaching programmes for individuals and companies. I recognise that we are all unique human beings, each facing unique personal challenges or opportunities – whether they are related to life direction, business, career or relationships.

Clinical Psychologist, Psychotherapist

I also provide psychotherapy for a range of conditions from mild to moderate and severe Depression/Anxiety, Post-natal Depression, Social Anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Phobias, drug and alcohol addictions and psychosis.

Coaching Services

I strongly believe that every individual has the right and ability to reach their full potential and coaching/counselling can help to uncover their unique resources and strengths that will get them there. My transformational coaching includes skillfully weaving psychological approaches to the coaching process. It not only challenges your limiting beliefs and assumptions in a non-judgemental and compassionate way, it is also results driven and helps you build a sustainable plan to maintain the changes achieved during the coaching process to get you to where you want to be in all areas of your personal and business life.

For over 16 years my training and career has progressed from Practicing Psychologist through Occupational Psychology to Occupational and Business Psychology. I have worked in a variety of settings including a psychiatric ward, a crisis resolution and home treatment team, and a Staff Incident Support Team within a Community Mental Health Team. My special interest is in helping workers who experience burnout stay in work or go back to work after a mental ill health absence. In my private practice, I enjoy sharing my coaching and psychology knowledge whilst empowering people to work towards their vision and values.

How my coaching works for Individuals.

  • I work with you on your daily habits (and on task focus) and on how they relate (or not) to your vision and values, in order to create a life worth living both at work and at home.

  • We work together towards identifying the barriers between you and your goals. These often consist of thinking barriers, which produce unwanted behavior and prevent you from moving forward.

  • We focus on techniques which help you generate alternative thinking and create sustainable and positive thinking patterns.

  • My 20 years experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and my Coaching training being accredited to the ICF (International Coaching Federation) guarantees an approach both tailored to your needs and based on sound research evidence.

  • My visualization approach helps you to connect with your core values in order to plan every action of your day so that your daily life is in line with your most desired goals. I blend my 20 years of experience as a psychologist with innovative and impactful imagery strategies, in order to pave your way to the life you want!

  • Clear goals in specific areas of your life is what we all need to move towards our ideal life.  Most of the issues I see are to do with not knowing what one wants, but doing what others want or expect of you.

  • Connecting with what you want takes a mindful effort to tune into what your mind does, when it is not engaged with technology, especially with our biggest distractor: the mobile phone!

Other areas of coaching I deal with include: Career, Confidence, Energy, Family, Finances, Friendship, Health, Leadership, Motivation, Parenting, Personal Development, Procrastination, Retirement, Spiritual, Work/Life Balance.

To create the life you want to live ... at work and home ... contact me and book your first consultation.

A few words about myself

Saskia Stanhope, Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, MBACP, BA (Hons)

Every person and every problem is different. Because of this, it is very important to me that the therapy I offer is supportive, holding and flexible enough to meet your individual needs. My training as an Integrative Relational Counsellor makes use of compatible theories from a variety of approaches including Gestalt, Psychodynamic and CBT, whilst keeping the relationship between client and counsellor at the heart of therapy. This allows me that flexibility to adapt, so that you can get the most out of our work together. Seeking help is the first step towards a happier future and I would like to help you find that future. I understand that trust can be a major hurdle, which can make reaching out that much harder, but the freedom to talk to a warm, caring professional in a safe, supportive and confidential environment can help you work through your problems.

Whilst I offer counselling on a range of issues, I also have a special interest in counselling clients dealing with anxiety or depression, especially those who have had difficulty with relationships or have suffered abuse. People need relationships of all kinds, but if something is making this difficult for you the effects can be problematic, far-reaching and even overwhelming. You may be feeling anxiety, stress, low self-esteem or depression but all of these can be overcome with the right help.

I have also received training from Dr David Muss, creator of the Rewind Technique for trauma and PTSD, allowing me to perform this technique to help clients reduce the effects of trauma on their daily lives. Rewind Therapy is a non-intrusive, safe and highly effective psychological method for detraumatising people with PTSD or severe anxiety based conditions, especially as it does not require the client to talk about or disclose the details of the traumatic incident(s) in question.

Additional experience includes:  Providing free counselling for two years at two GP surgeries;  Ongoing volunteer work as a counsellor for Frontline 19 - a charity that was set up to help frontline workers with increased stress and issues that may have been exacerbated due to the pandemic;  Research and writing on the experience of counselling for transgender clients for my degree dissertation.

In my private practice I work with adults and older adults experiencing a variety of issues, including:

How could I help you?

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy helps you change the way that you feel, through making changes with how you think and your behaviour. Let’s give an example, if a person feels really down or anxious, it's not that their thinking is wrong or bad, but it's likely that the person experiences very critical, worrying or negative thoughts. This in turn affects the way that they feel and what they feel able to do. I would help you find ways of thinking about yourself differently, supporting you to develop more balanced thinking. We all see the world through our own eyes, based partly on our past experiences. If our beliefs about ourselves as a person are not so good, then this can darken our view of the world, like putting on a pair of dark glasses. But it doesn't have to be this way, as you can learn to develop more positive beliefs. Often our problems get stronger because of the things we do, or don't do perhaps. Making sense of this and trying out new things gives you the chance to make real changes in your life. CBT isn't a complicated kind of therapy and many people have found it so helpful for their recovery.

Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy has its roots in the far East, from ancient Buddhist practice; but you don't have to be a Buddhist or even have any beliefs to practice being Mindful. Mindfulness helps you to stay in the present moment and to accept yourself for who you are without criticism or judgment. Our minds can be filled with so much worry or anxious thinking or perhaps we feel stuck in the past, beating ourselves up with what could have been or what we should have done. You may find that you are really battling with your thoughts, or trying to push them away. In the end, this can make us feel much worse. It's as if our mind really does have a mind of its own. Before we know it, we can be left feeling so down, upset or angry, without truly understanding how we got to feel this way. Using a Cognitive Mindfulness approach you can learn ways to become mindful in your own life, from practicing different meditations and breath techniques, to learning more about the way that you think and feel. You will discover that you can slow your mind down and give yourself the chance to step aside from these loops of thinking. In doing so you give yourself the space to think about things differently and act differently too. Mindfulness can help not just emotional difficulties but also with physical problems too.

A few words about myself

I am a family and systemic psychotherapist accredited by the UKCP and also an accredited BACP counsellor. I work with adults, parents, couples, young people and families offering a safe space to find a way forward when life has become difficult to manage alone.

What is family therapy?

Family therapy – or to give it its full title, family and systemic psychotherapy, helps people in a close relationship help each other.

It enables family members, couples and others who care about each other, to express and explore difficult thoughts and emotions safely, to understand each other’s experiences and views, appreciate each other’s needs, build on strengths and make useful changes in their relationships and their lives. Individuals can also find family therapy helpful, as an opportunity to reflect on important relationships and find solutions to life’s challenges.

Research shows family therapy is useful for children, young people and adults experiencing a very wide range of difficulties and experiences, for example, depression and anxiety; relationship breakdowns; parenting struggles; bereavements, etc.

I have worked in the NHS and charitable sectors with adults and children experiencing emotional and mental health difficulties. I continue to work with parents, children and young people at a London based charity 3 days a week and have a small private practice.

I work within the ethical guidelines of the UKCP and BACP and have regular supervision.

Consultant Clinical Psychologist specialising in the impact of adverse and traumatic experiences across the lifespan. Click image for full profile.

A few words about myself

Dr. Sheena Webb, BAHons MSc DClinPsy CPsychol

I am a Clinical Psychologist with 25 years experience of working within NHS services with children, adolescents and adults with complex needs.  I have provided clinical expertise within the family justice system for over a decade and am a Visiting Lecturer at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust.

I specialise in helping people with the impact of adverse and traumatic experiences. In particular, I provide private therapy for people affected by complex and relational trauma during childhood. I work from an integrative perspective which is based on the evolving body of clinical and research evidence on trauma recovery. I use a combination of cognitive, narrative and parts-based techniques to help people not only process traumatic experiences, but understand how their feelings and behaviours in the here and now are rooted in earlier self-protective responses. I am very interested in the connection between mental, physical and relational experience in supporting day to day emotional wellbeing.

Due to the nature of complex trauma, therapy may last 6 months to 2 years. I work across the lifespan, but with children this is likely to involve work with caregivers. If you are interested in therapy, I will offer an initial 30 minute screening consultation to help us decide if I’m the right therapist for you.

I am registered as a provider with most major health insurance companies.

  • Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (CPTSD),
  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD),

Integrative Psychotherapist, Performance/Presentation Anxieties, Peak Performance States, Fears, Phobias, Panic Attacks & Disorders, OCD, PTSD & Trauma, Work Stress, Depression, Chronic Pain. CBT, EMDR. Click image for full profile.

A few words about myself

I’m an integrative psychotherapist with over 25 years of experience and clients from a variety of backgrounds. I have worked within the NHS as a Psychotherapist and several private clinics, including The Priory Hospital Roehampton. I treat any issue that has a psychological component, such as anxiety, depression, unwanted habits and even chronic pain. The most common reasons people consult me are for anxiety disorders, phobias, performance anxiety and trauma. I combine CBT, Hypnotherapy, EMDR and Parts Therapy. This integrative approach can lead to a more comprehensive and transformative healing process for you.

What is CBT?

CBT focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviours. It helps clients gain awareness of their thoughts and feelings and learn healthier coping strategies for managing challenging situations.

What is EMDR?

Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing is particularly effective for clients who have experienced trauma or distressing life events. It involves guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation to help process and reframe traumatic memories, reducing their emotional impact.

Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy uses the trance state to access the subconscious mind, where positive suggestions and behaviour changes can be introduced. It can help clients address deep-seated issues, improve self-confidence, and facilitate behavioural changes.

What is Parts Therapy?

Also known as ego-state therapy or inner-child work, parts therapy involves identifying and communicating with different aspects of the self (parts) that may have conflicting beliefs or emotions. By understanding and integrating these parts, clients can find resolution and healing.

Transformative Therapist and Breathwork Teacher. Compassionate Inquiry Practitioner. Trauma-informed therapy. AMDR trauma release. Wellness Workshops & Courses. Click image for full profile.

A few words about myself

Giselle Monbiot, DipCHyp, HPD, MPNLP, BA Hons.

Having worked in the wellness industry for 26 years, I have trained with world-leading trauma and somatic therapy experts. I focus on relational and emotional health, balancing the nervous system, the mind and body connection, and healing unresolved trauma. I use a variety of approaches which include Compassionate Inquiry, an approach created by the world-renowned trauma specialist Dr Gabor Mate, Breathwork, AMDR, hypnosis and nourishing the body.

My clients come to me with a wide variety of challenges that are now creating a sense of being stuck alongside feelings of anxiety, chronic stress and unhappiness. I practice a transformative therapy that provides healing and release from unresolved childhood wounds. This occurs by creating a deep connection with my clients through presence and listening to get insight and respond to their needs.

Working with me, I am compassionate and gentle in my approach. I take my clients to the core issue to ensure healing occurs. What you experience in the present is often a response to what was learned when you were young. Your body holds onto past traumas and unresolved emotions. Together we uncover the old patterns and protective beliefs that impact your present life. Giving yourself the time and space to connect to what is present means what is held can be released safely and gently giving you the freedom to feel and respond differently.

Breathwork

How you breathe directly impacts your nervous system. This affects everything from how you respond to the world around you to the level of tension and stress you hold within your body. Learning how to use your breath to change your responses means you can increase energy when feeling tired; bring in calm in times of stress and create a sense of control in challenging times. It can also help to integrate unresolved emotions and traumas stored in the body.

I can offer breathwork training for individuals, in groups and as part of your therapeutic journey with me.

Conditions and situations I treat include:

  • Anxiety
  • Chronic stress
  • Grief
  • Anger
  • Sadness
  • Tiredness / exhaustion
  • Insomnia
  • Shame
  • Digestive issues
  • Relationship issues
  • Parenting
  • Break ups
  • Midlife
  • Overcoming unwanted patterns
  • Stuckness
  • Spirituality
  • Motivation

My aim is to enable people to heal so they can develop an authentic relationship with themselves; and helping people to stop being stuck in life, however this might be showing up.
