So what is Reiki?
Reiki is an ancient Japanese 'hands on' healing system that means universal-'Rei' and energy-'Ki'. Reiki is a relaxing therapy to help alleviate stress and anxiety, and helps us to accept life as it unfolds. Reiki still holds some mystery for many people, even though we all possess this amazing life force energy within us - it's what helps us breathe and therefore live our lives. We are mostly familiar with 'chi' or 'prana' and reiki is another way of clearing blockages of energy and revitalising our minds and bodies.
How Does Reiki Work?
Reiki works on every level of our being and is a holistic way of helping physical, mental and emotional ailments such as stress, insomnia, aches and pains, negative thought patterns and anxiety. A lack of harmony in the body can cause imbalance and eventually leads to illness. If life force energy is low, we are more likely to feel unwell or experience stress, if high we feel happy and light.
